Your LU Motor Sports Update: LFS25 Testing & Progress

As we begin to near our Easter break here atLoughborough, the manufacture of LFS25 is picking upspeed with designs nearing completion. The feeling ofaccomplishment at seeing the LFS25 monocoquesheet metal mould, next to LFS24 ready to roll out ofthe lab for testing creates a new wave of momentum.

With two of the largest design changes since movingelectric, it has been both a design and operationalchallenge. The team’s progression since our lastnewsletter has been significant from not only a designstandpoint but also the breadth of team knowledge.We’ve taken a step towards increasing training,particularly within electronics, our greatest skills gaparea with formal training and workshops offered bysponsors.

The hours of testing we’ve completed have developeda team comfortable with operating a running vehicleready for FSUK this year. I hope this newsletterprovides insight into not only some of the workcompleted so far and what is yet to come but also anexperience of the enjoyment that we’ve had fromtaking LFS24 out and pushing its limits.
